Content Credentials can carry signed provenance statements about an image and its editing history. Some files embed this information in C2PA or JUMBF containers. Removing those embedded containers removes that copy of the provenance data.
This does not change copyright or prove that an image was made by a human. External provenance records, invisible watermarks and visual detection systems are separate. A platform may still recognize an image after its metadata has been removed.
Our cleaning report lists the metadata containers detected and removed from supported files, then re-scans the output. It does not claim to verify authorship or defeat an AI detector.

Content Credentials: what cleaning does and does not do
Understand embedded provenance without confusing it with pixel-level detection.
